Description

Since I'm such a Jurassic Franchise fan-boy, I've watched all four films (soon to be five ;) ) many times and I've analysed the surprisingly realistic plot, the reasonable/also realistic explanation of the "minor-inaccuracies" of the dinosaurs and the interesting point that each film takes place in the exact year they were released, all of them combined created a sense that you a watching an alternate reality that apart from two crucial differences, could have actually have happened.

The first difference is the existence of this prehistoric blood-sucking Mosquito in the Mesozoic era-taliesaurus.deviantart.com/art…
one that had a different stomach chemistry from the ones of our world, allowing larger amounts of DINO-DNA to get preserved.

The second difference, one which we will be discussing today, is the slightly different shape of this timeline's eastern Pacific ocean islands, just west of Costa-Rica.
And it on these islands, where the dream of resurrecting dinosaurs came true, these are the island "Isla Nublar" and it's sister-island chain "Las Cinco Muertes"
The reason why I did this is that the general public understands the dinosaur part (to a certain extent) they don't seem to understand the geography of the story...
Anyways...enough of the intro, let's get to it.
First on our list is the more Famous of the islands, I give you:

ISLA NUBLAR
meaning: "Cloud Island"
size: 22 square miles
Known incidents: Jurassic Park incident (1993) and the Indominus Incident (2015)
Distance from Mainland: 120 miles
Island's History: For thousands of years, the Island was the home of a tribe of Bribri-people tribe that called themselves Tun-Si (Water Men). It is said that at the time, the island was called Guá-Si (meaning "Water House", or, "House beyond Water"). The Tribe were mostly fisherman and for peace on the island. Nonetheless, from the sixteenth century onward, many of the Tun-Si had to leave the island. Their presence on the island was terminated in the early 1980s by the InGen corporation. You see at the time, InGen was searching for a tropical island to build a dinosaur zoo and Isla Nublar met the requirements. This zoo would eventually be called "Jurassic Park".
But after an incident involving a worker died at the "claws" of a raptor, Hammond had sent for an endorsement group, including Alan Grant, Ellie Salter, and Ian Malcolm.
However, after Nedry snuck into the embryo-room, causing the power to fail, dinosaurs escaped their pens, causing the humans to abandon the island.
Almost ten years later, InGen (with the help of their new partner Masrani-Corp) came back to the island, recaptured the dinosaurs and tried another attempt at building a park, this one called "Jurassic World"

But for Ten long years, this park was a booming success, receiving thousands of victors every day from all over the world, but as time passed...people began to slowly grow complacent with live dinosaurs existing in the modern world. And as you can imagine this caused a gradual decline in public interest, and desperate times call for desperate measures.
So eventually, InGen's corporate funders felt that advances in genetic modification could allow them to meet the demands of the public wanting a dinosaur that meets the idea of "BIGGER, LOUDER, MORE TEETH" This lead to the creation of the Hybrid called: "Indominus Rex", but because of it being raised in captivity, it went sociopathic and wrecked havoc around the park, leading to the park to be once again shut down and abandoned by the humans.

Now, almost three years later, Scientists have begun to notice an "awakening" in the island's supervolcano "Mount Sibo" and a debate is underway whether or not the
DPG (Dinosaur-Protection-Group) should go in an save them...
The Fate of the island, and it's saurian Inhabitants, hangs in the balance...

(will be updated on June 2018)

And Now we talk about another island that has dinosaurs ruling it's lands
or rather, a chain of Islands, just 80 miles south-west of Nublar.
This Island-chain is called:"Las Cinco Muertes" (meaning- "The Five Deaths" as they were islands where the original natives of nublar executed people)
and as the name suggests, it contains 5 large islands, each one at least two or three times bigger than Nublar.
These Islands include:
-Isla Matanceros
-Isla Muerta
-Isa Pena
-
Isla Tacano
and the largest of them all, an Island we'll discuss in more detail...

ISLA SORNA
meaning: "sarcasm island"
size: 68-70 square miles
Known Incidents: Hurricane Clarissa
Distance from the mainland: Roughly 200 miles
Islands History: Unlike Nublar, which had to have a native population relocated, Isla Sorna was an island, relatively uninhabited by humans, instead what lived on this island was just Plants and Animals native to "Las Cinco Muertes" like the "Moku-pa" a type of Asterparan toucan native to both the Island-chain and Isla Nublar.

When Ingen leased the island chain from the
government (in the late 1970's), they set up laboratories and observatory camps all over the island. And as time passed they made over 22-28 species of dinosaurs and 6 species of pterosaur, each with their own "variants" and "sub-groups". You see Isla Sorna (or as InGen called it, "SITE-B") was the main research-facility/factory-floor for the park that was under construction, in San-Deigo.
But then Hammond changed plans and decide, that given the massive cost of transporting such animals over a long distance away, he'd much rather prefer that the Park be relocated to Isla Nublar (Sorna's North-eastern sister-island). And so, when the park was ready, they began transporting the animals to Isla Nublar in waves from 1988 to 1993.
But, around the time of the "Jurassic Park" incident, the storm that contributed to a power-outage (called Hurricane Clarissa), soon moved to "Las Cinco Muertes" forcing the staff to evacuate, leaving the dinosaurs to fend for themselves.

And as Ian's Saying goes: "Life Will find a way" for, in the next four years, Sorna's dinosaurs began to breed and thrive in their new-found freedom, eventually replacing newly all of the native wildlife and forming their own ecological system, with dozens of them, living their own social groups, with any tech restraining them.
And all this time, Hammond, who recently had a change of heart, began to protect the dinosaurs from human interference.

Unfortunately, in the spring of 1997, a rich British family on a yacht-cruise stumbled upon the island and their little girl was attacked by a pack of pro-compsognathus, native to the island. The Family soon began a lawsuit to InGen, causing the company to overthrow Hammond and put his nephew "Peter Ludlow" in charge. As soon as this happened Ludlow demand the company make a "sweep" of Isla Sorna and attain their "assets" in order to revive the park in San-Deigo as a means of fixing their massive debt.
And while most of their mission was a failure, they succeed to apprehend a male Tyrannosaurus Rex and it's Infant and transport them to San-Deigo. However, because they didn't use the right amount of tranquilizer, the buck-T-rex woke up, killed everyone on the boat and rampaged through the city, causing the event that is known as "the San-Diego Incident".

Thankfully, due to the actions of Ian Malcolm and Sarah Harding, both the T-rex and it's Infant were returned to Isla Sorna. And soon after, Hammond finally convinces the US and Costa Rican governments to Declare Isla Sorna as a Restricted Wildlife perverse, to keep the dinosaurs save from Human interference. setting up what is known as the GENE-GUARD-ACT. However, as the 2000's came around the general public knew about InGen's dinosaurs, some people began paying anyone that would give them a glimpse of these amazing animals. In particular, a certain illegal para-sailing group, called "DINO-SOAR" took advantage of this public interest. But one trip ended up perishing at the hands of a Spinosaurus, leaving Eric Kirby stranded on the island. Soon Afterwards, his parents: Paul Kirby and Amanda Kirby tricked Alan Grant into helping a rescue-party for Eric. And although a few of their party died, they succeeded in escaping the Island, as well as accidentally releasing flocks of "Pteranodon Hippocratesis", this then leads onto the "roaming pterosaurs incident"

and after that, to this day, little is known as to what has happened on the Island chain, all we do know is that the dinosaur inhabitants now dominate all Five islands of "Las Cinco Muertes".

UPDATE- when the 2015 investigation was carried out after the indominus incident it was discovered that during 1998, ingen went against the rules set up by the gene-guard act and illegaly bred/experimented on four new dinosaur breeds like...

-ceratosaurus
-ankylosaurus
-spinosaurus
and corythosaurus.

doing what was later realized as "the amalgam testing"...
